K9 Thunder - Mt. Vernon, KY. Police Department

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of K-9 Thunder, recently retired from service at the Mount Vernon Police Department in Rockcastle County, KY.

Serving since 2020 alongside his partner, K-9 Ofc. Dylan Hensley, Thunder relentlessly trained and served his community well.

His home life consisted of cuddles and kisses, eating all the snacks, playing ball, and pestering Delta dog. Ofc. Hensley and wife Emiley both are heartbroken, and thankful for the time they were able to share with Thunder
